Voice, emotions and computer manipulations :   Can we still trust the voice of an interlocutor on the phone ?

It is still relatively unknown, but it is now possible to manipulate the sound of a voice to make it, for example, more smiling or sadder, more dominant or more submissive, younger or older. These manipulations, a sort of vocal makeup, are used in neuroscience labs to better understand how the voice influences our emotions – I’ll give you some examples. But they also pose an interesting problem of foresight: at a time when the customer experience still passes mainly by phone, can you still trust the voice of our interlocutors for a long time?
