Polar Talks - The Power of Music

Polar Talks deploys the unique talents and diverse knowledge of the guests gathered in Stockholm for the annual Polar Music Prize ceremony.


 

Master of Ceremonies is Alfons Karabuda, chairman of the Polar Music Prize Committee, composer and chairman of the Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers & Authors.


The Polar Music Prize was founded by Stig “Stikkan” Anderson, the publisher, lyricist and manager of ABBA. The name of the prize stems from Anderson’s legendary record label, Polar Music. The Polar Music Prize celebrates the power and importance of music and is awarded to individuals, groups or institutions in recognition of exceptional achievements.


Frederick Rousseau, Industrial Relations and member of the Research/Creativity Interfaces Department of IRCAM, will especially have the privilege to talk about technological innovation in music.
