As part of the Ircam Forum Workshops at Ircam, 1 place Igor Stravinsky, Paris 4ème from 26 to 28 March 2025,
We are calling for your proposals for lectures, demos, installations or workshops.
The Forum 2025 Workshops will offer three days of lectures, demos, installations and workshops by Forum members, IRCAM developers and composers, independent artists and students. We particularly encourage talks and demos on the themes of spatialisation, sound processing, improvisation and artificial intelligence.
The entire Forum and Ircam team will be on hand to welcome you in various forms: lectures, demonstrations, workshops and student posters.

- January 2025: Publication of the online pre-programme

Contributions
Only complete proposals will be considered.
The Forum team will make a selection based on the resources available (space, technical equipment and available team) and the quality of the proposal, while paying particular attention to the diversity of the overall selection.

Available spaces
The various events will take place in the spaces presented on this page, depending on the nature of the proposal.

Types of proposals for contributions:
Lectures:
In addition to presentations given by Ircam teams, presentations by partners and Forum members involving new technologies are welcome. Accepted presentations will be scheduled in dedicated sessions during the Ircam Forum workshops in a conference room equipped with internet access, stereo sound and a video screen.
Available spaces: Salle Stravinsky, Studio 5, Salle Shannon
Duration: 10min installation + 20min conference + 10min questions

Demos:
Demonstrations of Ircam technologies by Forum members, computer music designers and artists from around the world. The demonstration rooms will be equipped with at least a video projector and a stereo audio system, and several sessions devoted to spatialized sound will take place in multichannel studios.
N.B. the demos accepted must not exceed the maximum duration proposed and must not require technical resources other than those of the various spaces proposed (refer to the technical sheet) / a demo can take different forms but under no circumstances a concert!
Spaces available: Studio 1, Studio 5, Vigie.
Duration: 30 min installation + 20 min demo + 10 min questions + 10 min dismantling.

Audiovisual installations:
These are artistic or scientific audiovisual projects, which may be interactive. They will be installed in a suitable space over a relatively long period (up to half a day), allowing participants to visit the installation during the demonstration or for one of the many short sessions planned (15 to 30 minutes each).
Spaces available: Studio 1, Studio 3, Vigie.
Duration: 30-60 min installation + 1h30-4h demo + 30 min dismantling

Workshops:
A workshop is an interactive training session in which participants acquire practical skills on a specific subject. Led by experts, these workshops enable participants to acquire practical knowledge through presentations, demonstrations and interactive exercises. They encourage active learning and interaction with trainers and other participants. Participants must register in advance so that the facilitator can prepare the workshop appropriately.
Spaces available: Nono Room, Shannon Room, Vigie
Duration: 10 min set-up + 75 min + 5 min dismantling

The Forum Workshops will take place over three full days.
Proposals will be accepted for talks in English. The majority of presentations by IRCAM researchers and guest artists will be in English.
