FLUX

FLUX is an immersive spatial audio composition designed for IRCAM’s 6 channel speaker setup. The work explores the relationship between rivers, cities and people, illustrating commonalities and differences of the perception of rivers across the world. Utilising recordings of a range of different people speaking about their personal experiences with rivers, FLUX brings attention to the significance of rivers in our memories, daily lives, and communities.  

The use of spatial audio allows the audience to experience a sense of geographical distance in a physical environment and illustrates the interconnectedness of bodies of water.
