Nightline: Experimental Film and contemporary Music - Caspar de Gelmini

Since 2019 I'm working as a Video Artist in connection to contemporary Music. My Videos were presented in Galeries and Museeums around the world. In my work I combine experimental film (Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, HD, 2K, 4K, 6K) with Sound Art and Music Compositions. I often work together with scientists from different backgrounds. The result are fascinating Video Projections.

For the sound I use regulary IRCAM Software like Max and Open Music. For the Visuals I work with analogue and digital Cameras from the 1940s to 2023.

In my work Nightline I show the voyage of my grandmothers mother, who moved in the 1960s from Rotterdam to New York to live in the US. She took the last remaining transatlantic Ship Rotterdam, which I visited last year. The ship is still existing as a Hotel Ship. In other works like Shibuya I tell the story of Robots in Tokyo and the future of artificial Intelligence. Other Videos like "Life in the future" deal with nature and science and the climate question.
