Polyphonic simplifies the design of interactive and immersive audio systems by making high-performance computing, once reserved for experts, accessible to all.
Through a programmable board that seamlessly integrates with existing audio infrastructures and a dedicated software environment that streamlines programming, our solution enables the development of audio systems capable of handling hundreds of channels with imperceptible latency, more than 100 times lower than current industry standards.
At the core of this breakthrough is FPGA technology. FPGAs have long been considered a leading solution for high-speed processing, yet their steep learning curve has kept them out of reach for most audio professionals.
Polyphonic removes this barrier by enabling FPGA use without requiring specialized hardware expertise, thanks to our dedicated compiler. This unlocks new possibilities for professional audio applications.
Designed for researchers, engineers, and developers in acoustics and music technology, our platform streamlines and accelerates the development of spatialized, immersive, and interactive audio applications.
From active noise cancellation and radio studios to live performances and 3D audio, Polyphonic is redefining what’s possible in real-time audio processing, unlocking possibilities and pushing the boundaries of audio innovation.
Polyphonic is a project born within the EMERAUDE research team (INSA Lyon, Inria) and supported by Inria Startup Studio.
