In Taipei, Taiwan, on October 18 and 19, a joint initiative by Forum IRCAM and C-Lab ignited two days of sound and technology exploration : through conferences, workshops, and ambisonic listening sessions, attendees gained insights into sound spatialization, processing, and artificial intelligence.

The Forum Hors les Murs took place at C-Lab, focusing on "Diversonics: New soundscape, sound transformation & AI". Over 100 young members of the IRCAM Forum from Taiwan actively participated, contributing to vibrant exchanges and discussions, fostering an atmosphere of innovation.

Key speakers included:

- Benoît Alary, a researcher at IRCAM/EAC, shared expertise in immersive reverberation creation, exploring virtual acoustics, artificial reverberation, and considerations for binaural and ambisonic reproduction formats.

- Pierre Guillot, Ph.D., delved into the historical and artistic context of ASAP plug-ins, highlighting challenges and innovations, particularly functionalities based on ARA2 technology.

- Philippe Langlois, Ph.D., brought expertise as a permanent researcher at the Université de Montréal and radio producer at Radio France Culture's Atelier de création radiophonique.

- Paola Palumbo, Head of Events and Marketing at the IRCAM Forum, provided an overview of the IRCAM Forum's role as an international platform for music and sound technology specialists.

This event was made possible through collaboration between Forum IRCAM and C-Lab, with support from the Institut Français.
