Interactive concert

Wednesday, March 18, 8:30 p.m.

📍Ircam, Projection Space

This participatory concert, performed by the ensemble ]h[iatus, invites the audience to share their perceptions of the music as it is being played. The nature of the responses modifies the sound production in real time. Rather than imagining an aesthetic vote, where the majority opinion overwhelms everything else, the aim is to “compose” the listener's attention. Technological issues are combined with cognitive science, individual and collective decision theory, and writing as a game.
