Tone Free allows you to modify the pitch and formants of a sound in real-time. Pitch transposition preserves the original resonances of the sound, unlike formant transposition, which shifts the resonances across the spectrum. Preserving some of the resonances of the sound (usually using a ratio of 25%) allows you to retain the natural character of the original sound. Conversely, shifting the resonances generates filtering effects that can be interesting for creative approaches.
