Garcia Vitoria and Jarrell at Archipel Festival

  • Friday 27 March 2015 20h00 - 22h00 (local time)

New Work by Marc Garcia Vitoria and Congruences by Michael Jarrell during this concert as part of the Archipel Festival, using Antescofo and Orchids.

Concertante music, beyond its firmly established models, also likes to explore its limits.
The trio KDM will join Contrechamps for Trencadìs, a new work by Marc Garcia Vitoria, reinvesting the concerto grosso genre.
In Congruences, Michael Jarrell uses the ambivalences created by electronics to alter the soloists’ role with the ensemble.
Roberto Gerhard—Arnold Schönberg’s only Spanish student—played an important role in musical modernity following WWII, despite the fact that his music was practically ignored by Franco’s regime.
