The day before the IRCAM Forum Workshops, IRCAM Forum and IRCAM's pedagogical team organize an afternoon discovery of Ircam's technologies. Open to all (within the limit of available places), Meet the Forum allows you to discover and understand all the training, innovations, technologies and resources that the IRCAM Forum is the link in the extended community of experts, sound professionals, sound designers, artists...
This introduction to the IRCAM Forum Workshops will be held on Tuesday 3 March, from 3pm to 6pm in the Salle Stravinsky at IRCAM.

The MuBu library, for Max
MuBu for Max is a library for multimodal sound and motion analysis, interactive sound synthesis and machine learning. It includes: real-time and batch data processing (sound descriptors, motion characteristics, filtering); granular, concatenative and additive synthesis; data visualization; static and temporal recognition; regression algorithms.
The OM software, for computer-assisted composition
OpenMusic (OM) is a visual programming language based on Lisp. Visual programs are created by assembling and connecting icons representing functions and data structures. Most programming and operations are performed by dragging an icon from one place and dropping it to another place. Built-in visual control structures (e.g. loops) are provided, which interface with those of the Lisp language. Existing CommonLisp/CLOS code can easily be used in OM, and new code can be developed visually.

TS2 Presentation
TS2 is the evolution of the TS application specialized in time-stretch and transposition based on the audio engine SuperVP™. This new version brings many new features as well as a completely redesigned and much more reactive graphical interface. TS2 becomes a real audio editor with the possibility to combine several sounds in the same document and to fade in and out. Automation curves have been added to modify the main parameters of the application such as transposition, time-strecth or Remix options. A Master module allows to insert a string of plugins in VST2, VST3 and AudioUnit formats in order to finalize the sound with your favorite treatments...
Modalys Presentation
Modalys is a sound synthesis software by physical model developed at Ircam. It allows the creation of virtual instruments by combining resonators (spring, strings, pipes, membranes) and interactions (pinched, rubbed, blown)... Thus constituted, a Modalys instrument can be controlled in real time in the Max software. Modalys is also able to predict the vibrations of an object it does not know from its shape in 3 dimensions. This is a good way to extend the basic object library and the sound possibilities of the software...
