José Miguel Fernández
José Miguel Fernández studied music and composition at the University of Chili and at the Laboratory for Musical Research and Production (LIPM) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He then studied composition at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon and followed the Cursus program in composition at IRCAM. He composes instrumental, electroacoustic, and mixed music works. His works have been performed in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceana and he has produced mixed music and electroacoustic concerts in several festivals.José Miguel Fernández won the international electroacoustic music competition in Bourges (2000), the Grame-EOC’s international composition competition in Lyon (2008), and the Giga Hertz Award from the ZKM/EXPERIMENTALSTUDIO in Germany (2010). In 2014, he was chosen by IRCAM for the artistic research residency on interaction in mixed music works. He is currently in the music doctorat program (research in composition) at IRCAM organized in collaboration with Sorbonne Université and the UPMC.His research project focuses primarily on writing for electronics and research on new tools for the creation of mixed and electroacoustic music.In parallel to his activity as a composer, he works on a range of educational projects and creation in connection with computer music.

Marc Battier
Marc Battier is an electroacoustic music composer and a distinguished professor at Shenzhen University. He is also emeritus professor at Sorbonne University (Paris) and has been teaching at the University of California (San Diego and Irvine, USA), the Montreal University in Canada and Aichi University of the Arts in Japan. He worked at the IRCAM (Paris) music research institute, founded by Pierre Boulez. In his young years, he has been assistant to well known composers such as John Cage, François Bayle, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Joji Yuasa and others. As a musicologist, he has published many articles and several books on the history of electronic music and is active with professional journals such a Computer Music Journal, Leonardo Music Journal and Organised Sound. He is particularly interested by electronic music in Asia and has founded a research network, EMSAN, which means Electroacoustic Music Studies Asia Network. He also is a founder of the Electroacoustic Music Studies Network which organizes annual conferences to develop musicology of electronic music and he hopes to organize a conference here in Shenzhen in the coming years. For his work as composer, he has received many commissions from France, USA, China, Japan, and has composed many works, including several for Asian instruments, often presented in the CCOM festival in Bejing. He also has made music for art films.

Mikhail Malt / 米哈尔·麦尔特
I am a Researcher in the Musical representations team of IRCAM, Computer Music Designer Teacher (within the IRCAM Department of Pedagogy), Associate Research Director at Sorbonne University and Composer. I have a scientific and musical background (Engineering, composition and conducting) and my research focuses mainly on the theme of computer-assisted music writing (computer-assisted composition) and musical formalization. Since my arrival at IRCAM (October 1990 as a student and 1992 as a research composer) my main activity has been between research and teaching especially in the composition and computer music curriculum.Currently, my work is developing on three axes:
• Modeling and musical representation: the study of the expressivity of formal models in computer-assisted composition, and in real-time generative music, and the modeling of open works),• the development of interfaces and tools for computer-assisted composition,
• Musical analysis and computer-assisted musical performance and musical creation.

Carlos Delgado
Carlos Delgado’s music has been heard in concerts, festivals, and radio broadcasts all around the world. His works have been presented at venues such as Merkin Recital Hall in New York; the 11th Biennial Symposium on Arts and Technology; the Rencontre Internationale de Science & Cinema (RISC) in Marseille, France; the Strada Facendo Festival, in Pisa, Italy; the International Contemporary Music Week and the International Society for Contemporary Music’s World Music Days in Bucharest, Romania; and the BKA Theater in Berlin, Germany. His electroacoustic and acousmatic works have also been included in three editions of EMUFest at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia, Rome; the 2013 and 2014 Festa Europea della Musica festivals in Rome; and the 2018 New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. A winner of the 1996 Society of Composers CD Series Award, his works have been recorded by world-class artists such as Emil Sein, Corrado Canonici, Roger Heaton, and Beate-Gabriela Schmitt, and are available on the New World Records, Living Artist, Capstone Records, and Sonoton ProViva labels. He has appeared as a laptop performer at Symphony Space and the Abrons Art Center (New York); the Titu Maiorescu Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin; the Musica Senza Frontiere Festival, in Perugia; and many others.

Tiange Zhou
Born in China 1990, Tiange Zhou is a composer, photographer, designer, and improvisational dancer. She is interested in interactive audiovisual art and other integrated art forms. Her artworks are exhibited and performed across Asia, Europe, and America. Tiange's music has received international recognition through performances by musicians from Mivos Quartet, I.C.E., S.E.M. Ensemble, Phillip Glass Ensemble, Yale Camerata, Neue Vocalsolisten, Sandbox Ensemble, Talujon Ensemble, Third Coast Percussion, Loadbang, Yale Philharmonia and Albany Symphony. Besides receiving the Baumgardner Fellowship for the residence composer in the Norfolk chamber music festival 2016, Tiange's work - Lament for Adonis was a finalist for the American Prize in the chorus music division and collected by American classical radio station WQXR. Her chamber work hEArT won the first prize of Kirkos Kammer International Composition Competition in Ireland. And her solo violin piece A Mirror for a Dream was chosen as one of the contemporary pieces for the Musical Summer Malaga 2016 6th International Solo Violin Competition.
Recently, Tiange is pursuing her Ph.D. in composition at the University of California, San Diego where she studies with Prof. Roger Reynolds for composition, Prof. Tom Erbe for computer music and Prof. Mark Dresser for performance practice and open score research. She completed her master's degree at Yale University where she studied with Prof.David Lang, Prof.Martin Bresnick, Prof.Aaron Jay Kernis, and Prof.Hannah Lash. At the same time, she worked at Yale College as a teaching fellow in music technology. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Manhattan School of Music, studying with Prof. Nils Vigeland and Prof.Reiko Fueting. She also completed an exchange program at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Stuttgart from 2012 to 2013.
Besides concert music writing, Tiange participates in numerous collaborative projects with visual artists, dancers, filmmakers and theater producers. She studies contemporary dance and theatre design in the UCSD theatre and dance department along with her Ph.D. of Music journey. Tiange's works are affected by modern sociology and psychoacoustic research. She has done several projects about contemporary social psychological dilemmas, which she concerns.

Augustin Muller
After studying music (classical percussion, jazz and improvised music) and scientific studies, Augustin Muller was trained at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP) and graduated from the Higher Training at the Métiers du Son in 2010. Specialized in computer music production , since then, he works in France and abroad with different artists, ensembles (the Balcon, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, International Contemporary Ensemble, 2e2m, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra ...) for concerts and festivals (Manifesto Ircam, Musical Biennale of Venice, Musica, Berlioz Festival ...).Coming from a generation directly confronted with the question of the interpretation of the mixed repertoire, he wrote his Master thesis at IRCAM on this subject. He works there since regularly for projects of concerts, research or creations.Augustin has worked with many composers (M Levinas, Garcia-Velasquez, R.HP Platz, JP Carreño, L. Durupt, F. Bedrossian ...), musicians and performers and is involved in several projects at the level of sound diffusion, electronics and new technologies, as for example with the ensemble Le Balcon since 2008. In 2014, he realized the electronic part and the sound design of the opera Le Petit Prince by Michael Levinas from St Exupéry for the Opéra de Lausanne, the Lille Opera and the Théâtre du Châtelet.Former student of the generative improvisation class of the CNSMDP, Augustin also works with many improvisers (ONCEIM & Stephen O'Malley, Frederic Blondy, Eve Risser, Jean-Luc Guionnet ...) for discographic projects or concerts (festival METEO, CRAK ...).

Qiangbin Chen
Qiangbin CHEN,composer,and is currently a professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He also served as the president of Shanghai Computer Music Association. His major works include Hxak for String Sextet,first prize winner in the 2005 Chamber Music Group National Competition. Line 9,for dancer, harp, interactive electronic music and video. As one of the leading creators in the field of electronic music and new media music in today’s China,Chen established Shanghai International Electronic Music Week in 2006. Chen was invited to serve as a jury of the International Compendium – Prix Ars Electronica 2008 in Linz, Austria. As the conference chair,he hosted the 2017 International Computer Music Conference.As a producer and artistic director, he designed and directed several concerts such as Harmonization between Tradition and Modernity for Chinsese traditional instruments and electronic music, Feeling and Moving,a concert combind with new media and electronic music, Chinese Opera Meets Animation for Chinese orchestra and animation and E-Sonic3 — Hyper Sense Space, an atypical cross-media art exhibition.

Tong Chen / 陈桐
Tong Chen, young composer, new media art researcher and designer. She majored in Electronic Music Composition since 2011, and got bachelor and Master of Art degree at Sichuan Conservatory of Music with Professor Xiao Hu and Takayuki Rai. Now she is a composition teacher in college. She studied electronic music with Professor Jeffery Stolet in Oregon University, and learned Faust language with Yann Orlareyo in Hanyang University, Korea. Her works have won awards and performed in different competitions and music festivals in the United States, South Korea, Uruguay, Taiwan, Beijing, such as Musicacoustica-Beijing, ICSC (International Csound Conference), WOCMAT, etc. Her pieces were performed by viola player GuangYue Su, who is the principle viola player of Chicago orchestra. In recent years, she founded Signal Light Art Group with other artists, and began to work on new media pieces. Her installation works have been performed in the ChengduMOCA and other art centers.

Zhang Wei
Dr. Zhang Wei is the professor of composition faculty in Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the doctoral supervisor in music theory. He now is serving as the dean of Graduate School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Moreover, he has quite many titles like Shanghai Leading Talents,the member of National Education Committee for Graduate Students of Art, secretary-general of China Academy of Music Analysis, secretary of Review Panel of Subjects of Music and Dance under the State Department, member of Shanghai’s Review Panel of Subjects of Music and Dance, and member of Shanghai Music Association. He left his footprints in universities of America, United Kingdom, Germany and Australia as a visiting scholar. He has more than 30 academic papers published in China’s core periodicals. He also published 3 academic books including Study on the form and function of music rhythm structure—the matter of Rhythm Structure Dynamism.

Francesco Casciaro
Musician and researcher in the field of experimental electro-acoustic music. From 2010 to 2018 he was a member of the research and production staff at the Tempo Reale Centre, located in Florence and founded by Luciano Berio in 1987. He is mainly involved in the design and development of interactive sound and musical systems that are used in different areas of the live show: Theatre, Dance, Inter-media Installations and Concerts. Over the years he worked on various types of projects as a musician, composer, sound designer and maker. Recently his interest is focused on the research and development of new musical instruments using obsolete and/or recycled technological devices.

Fang Dalei
FANG Dalei is associate professor of Music Engineering Department, graduate tutor, council member of SCMA, AES Full Member and the technology director of Shanghai EMW. He is known for his creativity of music technology and experience of sound system and interactive program design. Concerts and exhibition he worked as the Director of Technology includes: Shanghai eARTs opening concert (2007), sound installation "Touch the Sound" (2011) and "Multimedia Concert" at Hamburg Hochschule für Musik und Theater (2011), Esonic3 (2015) and ICMC 2017. He was also the sound system engineer of the winning piece of Prix Ars Electronica 2008. His interactive program includes “Mirror of Mind” at 2012 Shanghai International Arts Festival which was also invited by Asia Society and Coil Festival to be performed in New York in 2014.

Wei Xiaoxi
Born in Kunming, Yunnan Province. During my younger years, while studying composing and computer music producing with Mr. Xiaogen Liu, I developed a strong interest in electroacoustic music and the technology, and feel obliged for the evolution of native music and culture. After the study with Mr. Mingzhu Song in Sichuan Conservatory, majoring composing, I went to France, where I studied with Frédéric Boulard, a composer and the director of conservatoire de Douai, and also studied symphony orchestra conducting with Mr. Pierre Vigneron. After returning to China, I became the stand conductor of Kunming Guandu Symphony Orchestra. In 2011, I also established BelleVille Ensemble, which focuses on the arranging and performance of film music with multi-media. Since 2017, I have been a doctor student at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Learning electroacoustic music composition with Prof. Qiangbin Chen.

Giovanni Santini / 乔凡尼·桑蒂尼
The research of Giovanni Santini is focusing on more recent developments of Virtual and Augmented Reality applied to musical performance. He is especially interested in exploring the new possibilities offered in terms of musical notation and virtual interfaces. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Music Composition at Hong Kong Baptist University and has been Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley during fall semester 2018. Has presented his research at Conferences at McGill University, UC Berkeley and Ircam, among the others. Articles about his research have been published in Conference Proceedings (TENOR 2018, SMC 2019) and Journals (Lecture Notes on Computer Science). Previously obtained degrees in Composition in Basel, Lugano and La Spezia. Has been also student of S. Sciarrino and G. Netti. Took part to international master-classes with composers like B. Furrer, P. Billone, F. Filidei, C. Czernowin and many others. Frequented also the courses of impuls Academy, Chigiana academy, Harvard Summer Composition Institute, Manoury Composition Academy and Electronic Music courses at Scuola Civica in Milan and Elektronisches Studio in Basel. His music has been performed by ensembles like Talea, Phoenix, Laboratorium, and more.

Aven le Zhou / 周乐
Aven Le Zhou is a Chinese artist and creative technologist works with Artificial Intelligence. He founded the AI augmented creativity and art studio -- artMachines and leads cross-disciplinary practices in said organization. His artworks and research interests spread in interactive media, generative art and machine vision for arts applications. He has recently focuses on utilizing artificial intelligence/machine learning to create art. As an artist, Aven’s practices focus on AI art and interactive media. Jialin Liu / 刘家麟
Jialin LIU (China, 1995) went to the Music Middle School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SMMS) at the age of 12 and studied composition, piano, and music theory under GUO Liang and LIU Dongmei. After moving to Europe in 2014, he studied a Bachelor in composition and electronic music under Marco Stroppa and Michael Reudenbach at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. In 2018, he was selected by the IRCAM Cursus program for composition and computer music in Paris, mentored by Thierry de Mey and Mikhaïl Malt. After the year-long program, he was admitted to the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP) for his Master study in composition and mixed music with Frédéric Durieux. His thoughts on music and creation come not only from the collision between the traditional cultures and new technologies, but also from his experience under the master classes of Luca Francesconi, Beat Furrer, Philippe Leroux, Philippe Manoury and Tom May. His mastery of new technologies has benefited from the guidance of teachers such as Marco Stroppa, Mikhail Malt, Marco Liuni, Jean Lochard, Grégoire Lorieux, and Piet J. Meyer. Recently, he is obsessed with the research and practice of physical modelling technology, and is devoted to exploring the combination of the physical modelling technology with the architecture, the sound installation and the musical instrument design, which are applied into a series of his recent works.

Paola Palumbo / 保拉·潘博
Paola Palumbo is coordinator of Forum Ircam since 1999. The Forum Ircam is the community of users of Ircam software that include the platform forum.ircam.fr and Forum workshop where converge artists and scientists of all around the world. Since 2011 she is also coordinator of Research and Creativity Interfaces Department and follow artists in the IRCAM Musical Research Residency Program. She is co-founder of Ircam Live concerts and of Forum Hors les Murs events (Seoul 2014, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo 2015, Taiwan 2016, Santiago du Chili 2017, Shanghai 2019, Montreal 2020). She is in charge of several international partnership with universities and cultural organisations. Previously she received a Master Degree in Public Politics and Social change "Cultural Project Management" at the University Pierre Mendès France (UPMF), Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) of Grenoble and a Master Degree in Political Science at the University « La Sapienza » Roma ( Italy).

Frank Madlener / 弗兰克·马德纳
Frank Madlener is a pianist and conductor, a cultural and artistic manager ; he has overseen many festivals and musical events. Since 2006, Madlener has served as the director of IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), a dynamic and innovative research institute founded at the Centre Pompidou in the late 1970s, where he had previously held the position of artistic director. As the director of IRCAM, Madlener explores the relationship between man and machine and how technology affects the composer. His goal is to implement technology in compositions for particular instruments as well as the entire orchestra. He exposes broad audiences to innovative and experimental pieces of music.

Marco Bidin
Marco Bidin is a composer, organist and harpsichord player, currently working as a Tutor for the Studio for Electronic Music at the HMDK Stuttgart. After graduating in Organ, he studied Early Music in Trossingen and Contemporary Music performance in Stuttgart, where he recently completed the Concert Exam in Composition and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Computer Music under the guidance of Prof. Marco Stroppa. He participates since 10 years at live concert, recording and opera for contemporary music with electronic and worked with several composers like Pierre Boulez, Hector Parra, Philip Manoury, Alberto Posadas, Franck Bedrossian with different musical ensemble in Europe (Klangforum, ICE New York, MusikFabrik ensemble, EIC ensemble intercontemporain of Paris, Arts nova ensemble, court circuit, etc.

Matteo Cesari / 马特奥·切萨里
Artist, interpreter and researcher as in one, passionately keen on contemporary music, Matteo Cesari (Bologna, 1985) has played as a soloist worldwide, from Europe to China, from Australia to the United States. His musical career path has been enriched from Italy till Conservatoire de Paris and at Université Paris IV (Sorbonne), where he has obtained his doctor degree with the highest honour (congratulations from the jury) in April 2015, specialized in interpretation, research and practice, with his thesis on the interpretation of time in L'orologio di Bergson of Salvatore Sciarrino and Carceri d'Invenzione IIb of Brian Ferneyhough. Being the laureate at several other competitions, he also won the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis at Darmstadt. He has collaborated with numerous soloists of his generation such as the singers Stéphane Degout and Barbara Hannigan, the harpists Anneleen Lenaerts and Émilie Gastaud. As a soloist he has played with BBC Scottish Orchestra and the Ensemble Intercontemporain. He has worked with some of the well-renowned composers, conductors and artists of his time such as Salvatore Sciarrino, Brian Ferneyhough, Pierre Boulez, Péter Eötvös, Matthias Pintscher… He has given quantities of masterclasses and seminars organized by the Conservatory of Shanghai (China), Tokyo University of the Arts (Japan), Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and University of London (UK). On a very regular base, he works as a teaching assistant in the composition class of Salvatore at Accademia Chigiana of Siena in Italy. Recently he has been invited by Maurizio Pollini to participate as soloist to his Pollini Project at the Toppan Hall in Tokyo and at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.

Jiang Siting / 蒋斯汀
Jiang Siting is born on December 27 (Chinese) 1986. He is a composer, sound designer, sound engineer, and performer. He graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2009 major in electronics music composition. In 2012, he entered Kunitachi College of Music (Tokyo) to study contemporary computer music composition with Shintaro Imai. From 2014 until now, he continued his study in the doctoral program (The Doctor of Musical Arts ) at the same school. During 2016-2017, as a composer researcher , he completed the training course CURSUS at IRCAM under the guidance of Hèctor Parra and Mikhail Malt. Siting's compositional activity focuses on aesthetic reflexions of musical time and new concepts of measuring and scheduling sound events. He attempted to integrate various concepts in psychoacoustics into electronic music composition and live performance. In his music, he tries to convey the information contained in work by emphasizing the changes sophistically in the timbre level of sounds. His real-time interactive electronic music works "Au départ (2017)", "To come into focus (2019)" has been performed around the world and widely acclaimed. His composition "Equal-G (2013)" won the most creative and talented award of the International Electronic Music Week hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (2013).

Minjie Lu
Minjie Lu is the associate professor, Master Supervisor of Sichuan Conservatory of Music. She was the visiting scholar of University of Oregon and viewer of ICMC. Her research is focused on interdisciplinary program including electronic music and culture. She has published 4 tutorials and translations about electronic music, 12 papers in CSSCI and Key Journal in China. In addition, she has been in charge of projects sponsored by Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund and China National Art Fund. Her works or papers have won prizes or been selected to present in international activities, including ICMC, SCM, IAWM, EMS, FMO, MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, CHIMES, Sonic Rain, KISS, eARTS, etc,. She also contributes to electronic music education. Her students received awards given by Computer Music Composition Group of Computer Design Competition for College Students in China, MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, Shanghai International Electroacoustic Music Week, etc.

Kun Li is a new media artist based in Chengdu. He creates art work by using hardware/software/wetware, exploring new possibilities in art expression. Yanmin Han
Yanmin Han received his BA in Clarinet Performance and MA in Electronic Music Composition from Sichuan Conservatory of Music and. Now he is the faculty of Electronic Music Department of SCCM and core member of New Media Art Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province. His research focus on recording art and digital audio technologies. He is very experienced in recording art and has collaborated with many artists since 1997, including Song Zuying, Li Yundi, Dai Yuqiang, Tan Weiwei, etc,. During his work, he is in charge of the project about electronic music education sponsored by Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, and project about music science sponsored by Sichuan Technology Department. He also participated in projects about electronic music sponsored by Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund.

Cai Yibin
Yibin Cai, graduated from Composition Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music for BA. He received MA in electronic music composition from Electronic Music Department of SCCM. Now he is the teacher of Electronic Music Department. He used to be the teacher of Media School of SCCM and taught film and television sound design course. Yibin is an active composer. At present, his composition and work focus on film music, electroacoustic music and commercial music. In recent years, his composition include: Film Soundtrack Unbelievable(2018), Midnight Lost(2016), arrangement works Heart Fragrance(Gong Yue's 2007 album), interactive electronic music works Rain Forest I(for computer and koto), and Neon Dress——for computer and electric guitars.

Xiaoman Yang
Xiaoman Yang, graduated from the Composition Department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, studied with Associate Prof. Pengyun Li. Since 2018, she has studied electronic music composition with Dr. Lu Minjie, the associate professor of Electronic Music Department. She also studies electronic composition with Japanese composer Prof. Takayuki Rai and American composer Prof. Jeffrey Stolet. She won the first place in Electronic Music Composition of MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING. In the same year, her mixed-electronic music Shimmer was selected to present at WOCMAT 2018(Taiwan).
