Saxophonist and researche Raphaël Imbert and computer music designer Benjamin Lévy, residents in IRCAM’s Artistic Research program, have put the possibilities of musical improv and artificial intelligence of the OMAX program on stage. After several years of working together, the duo has used the Imbert’s research in the “Deep South” of the United States and the reflections of Benjamin Lévy on new technologies for the creation of A.I. Swing. This is a performance where artificial intelligence becomes a jazz musician, a blues musician, and where an acoustic musician is transformed into a “saxo-bot”!
