Modalys new version 3.8.1 is available, in sync with Forum 2023.

Modalys, Ircam's virtual lutherie technology, was introduced as early as 1989 and has always been enhanced and maintained since then!

Modalys 3.8.1 is a significant maintenance update that brings a lot of bug fixes and improvements, especially to the (relatively) new Lua engine.

The mlys.lua controller, introduced in Modalys 3.7, carries out the idea of a new scriptural approach within the graphic and real time environment of Max (making it the equivalent of non real time Lisp), allowing a bigger control over the details than with the traditional "mlys" graphical approach. This new approach is particularly suitable for 3D sounding objects (finite elements).
