Tone Free allows you to modify the pitch and formants of a sound in real-time. Pitch transposition preserves the original resonances of the sound, unlike formant transposition, which shifts the resonances across the spectrum. Preserving some of the resonances allows you to retain the natural character of the original sound. Conversely, shifting the resonances generates filtering effects that can be interesting for creative approaches.
